  • At InForm Imaging, we specialize in extremity MRI scans: knee, calf, ankle, foot, elbow, forearm, wrist, and hand.
    We do not perform imaging of other anatomical regions (for example, we do not image shoulder, hip, or spine).

  • No, there are no restrictions on what you can eat or drink on the day of your MRI.

  • No, there are no specific restrictions on what you can wear to your MRI appointment.

  • No, InForm Imaging is a direct-to-consumer screening service, meaning no physician referral is required and you can book your appointment directly online via our booking link.

  • You can book your appointment directly following this link. If you don’t see a time that works for you, please call the clinic, and we will be happy to accommodate you.

  • Please follow this link, to learn what to expect during your assessment.

  • Yes, you're welcome to bring a family member or friend with you to your appointment. There is seating available in the room for them to wait while you complete the scan.

  • We have a 12-hour cancellation policy, so please reach out more than 12 hours before your appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule.

  • InForm Imaging will provide you with a link to access your images online. You will also receive a copy of your radiology report within 1-2 business days after the assessment is completed.

  • Private MRI, like that offered at InForm Imaging, is not covered by MSP (Medical Services Plan) as they are not considered medically necessary. If you have private health insurance, we recommend checking with your provider to see if they cover private MRI. Additionally, most Healthcare Spending Accounts (HSAs) can be used to cover private MRI.

  • If you are flexible with your timing, we can usually accommodate you within 48 hours. You can see real-time availability by visiting our booking page. If you don’t see a time that works for you, or you would like to book over the phone, please contact the clinic at (604)-630-2404.

  • InForm Imaging is located inside the FIT TO TRAIN clinic downtown at 808 Nelson Street, Suite #710. 

  • Yes, the building offers paid underground parking with access from Nelson Street. An elevator is available that takes you up to the clinic. Paid street parking is also available throughout the area.

  • Single joint MRI appointments are booked for 60 minutes (which includes paperwork, setup, etc), with roughly 35 minutes spent on the imaging itself and bilateral joint MRI appointments are booked for 120 minutes.

  • X-ray is primarily used to assess bone and has limited visualization of soft tissue. MRI is useful for assessing soft tissue (ligaments, tendons, cartilage, muscle) as well as bone. Unlike X-ray, MRI does not involve any ionizing radiation.
